Parihaka

On November 5th 1881 the peaceful village of Parihaka was invaded by 1,500 settler's militia and volunteers, under the command of the acting Native Minister John Bryce.

This artwork was inspired by the events of Parihaka and created in support of remembering this time in NZ history.
