This body of work explores how Maori identity, whakapapa, and mana wahine can be reimagined through digital motion and layered visual language. Moving beyond the static image, these works shift, pulse, and unfold — echoing the fluid nature of memory, perception, and ancestral presence.

Each piece weaves symbolism and story into contemporary form, drawing from kaupapa Maori to create digital spaces that are both grounded and expansive. These are not simply digital artworks — they are living korero. A continuum of cultural expression, grounded in whenua and wairua, yet speaking fluently in the language of now.

This documentary followed the intense 10 week lead up of Mt Albert Grammar School's Kapa Haka group - Te Puna o Wairaka Polyfest performance of 2019. Unfortunately, the Polyfest festival was abruptly cancelled due to the early stages of the covid pandemic in New Zealand at the time.
